Build and scale the lakehouse powering analytics for a global retail giant's India GCC — Spark, Airflow and dbt on AWS.

About the role

Join the 60-person data platform team at the India GCC of a Fortune-200 retailer. The platform ingests 2TB+ daily and serves 500+ internal analytics users.

You will build and operate pipelines on the lakehouse stack, improve data quality SLAs and contribute to the internal ingestion framework.

What you'll do

Build and maintain Spark/Airflow pipelines on AWS
Model marts with dbt for analytics and ML consumers
Own data-quality monitoring and SLA dashboards
Optimise storage layout and query cost on the lakehouse
Participate in a light on-call rotation with comp-offs

What you'll bring

3–6 years in data engineering on cloud platforms
Strong PySpark and SQL; Airflow orchestration experience
dbt modelling experience preferred
Understanding of lakehouse formats (Delta/Iceberg/Hudi)
CS fundamentals: data structures, partitioning, indexing
